Who we areSt Agnes' Catholic Parish is a not-for-profit organisation that has supported the Port Macquarie community since 1878. With more than 800 staff, we provide services across early education, aged care, community and family support, education and training, and pastoral care.
About the roleAs an Early Childhood Educator, you'll help create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where children can learn, play and thrive. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll deliver high-quality education and care in line with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework, while building positive relationships with children and families.
Key responsibilitiesSupport children's learning, wellbeing and development through play-based experiences.Contribute to planning, documenting and evaluating educational programs in line with the EYLF.Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for children and families.Build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and the wider community.Maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework, regulations and service policies.Assist with documentation, administration and continuous improvement activities.
Who you areYou'll have experience (through employment or practical placement) in an early childhood setting and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development. You're a positive team player with strong communication skills, a commitment to inclusive practice, and an understanding of child development and the National Quality Framework. You'll also support the values and mission of St Agnes' Catholic Parish.
Essential requirementsCertificate III in Early Childhood Education and CareWorking With Children CheckNational Criminal History CheckCurrent Child Protection training (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications
