About the Role
As we head into the upcoming wind season, Rigcom is looking for experienced Wind Turbine Blade Repair Technicians to join our growing team. With opportunities to work across wind farms throughout Australia, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality composite blade repairs, treatments and installations, working across a range of projects and repair complexities.
Key Responsibilities
Complete the blade repair tasks in line with the requirements of the blade repair plan, under the supervision of the Site Lead and Composites Engineer.
Utilise the rope access or blade access platforms (BAP-training provided) to conduct safe and efficient blade maintenance, inspections and repair work.
Actively participate in site inductions, toolbox and daily pre-start meetings.
Complete electronic reporting requirements for the company and clients.
Work closely with supervisors, other technicians and stakeholders on site.
Adhere to all safety and site compliance standards.
About You
Have full GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and GWO Blade Repair (BR) certificate
Experience conducting or assisting with high-complexity blade repairs, including Cat 4 and Cat 5 repairs
Experience with GE, Nordex, Suzlon or Siemens turbines
IRATA Level 2 or Level 3 (Level 3 highly desirable)
Valid Australian or overseas driving license
White Card, LVR/CPR, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces (within 2 years)
Strong Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Willing to do 3 weeks on, 1 week off roster
