Kenny Constructions is an Australian construction company delivering complex projects across Australia, with expertise spanning infrastructure, civil and high-rise construction.

With significant growth planned in Western Australia, we are expanding our Perth team and are looking for a Safety Coordinator to support our projects and help maintain a strong, proactive safety culture across the business.

The Role

Reporting to the Safety Manager, the Safety Coordinator will provide day-to-day support across our Perth projects, working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors to ensure safety standards are consistently maintained.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on site, building relationships with project teams and taking a proactive approach to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and ongoing management of WHS policies, procedures and systems

• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations

• Assist with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions

• Support project teams with SWMS, JHAs, risk assessments and safety documentation

• Monitor compliance with relevant legislation, standards and project requirements

• Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks and safety training

• Work closely with supervisors and subcontractors to identify and address safety risks

• Maintain accurate safety records and reporting

• Assist with the preparation and review of safety documentation

• Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the project team

• Provide practical safety advice and support to site-based teams

About You

We’re looking for someone who is practical, approachable and confident working with construction teams.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Safety Coordinator, HSE Coordinator or similar role within construction

• Relevant WHS/OHS qualification

• Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and construction safety requirements

• Experience conducting site inspections and safety audits

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• The ability to work autonomously while also being part of a wider project team

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to safety

• White Card and relevant site tickets

• Current Australian working rights
