CNC Operator / Wood Machinist

Architectural Hardwood Joinery | Wollongong, NSW | Full-Time

Architectural Hardwood Joinery is looking for a highly motivated, experienced 5-Axis CNC Operator to join our team.

We manufacture high-end custom timber windows, doors and architectural joinery, and we’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, wants to improve their skills and is motivated to be a key part of the business.

You’ll be responsible for the operation of our 5-axis CNC, producing precision timber components to a high architectural standard.

Your role will include:

• Operating a 5-axis Biesse CNC

• Reading and interpreting architectural drawings

• Tooling changes, machine setup and maintenance

• Machining timber components

• Quality checking your own work

• Working closely with the production team to keep jobs running efficiently

• Identifying ways to improve CNC processes, accuracy and productivity

We want someone who wants to be good at what they do.

You’ll be:

• Experienced in 5-axis CNC operation, ideally within timber manufacturing or joinery

• Experienced working with solid timber

• Technically minded and confident solving problems

• Able to read drawings and work accurately to tight tolerances

• Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision

• Reliable, organised and committed to getting the job done properly

• Someone who takes pride in producing quality work

• Keen to learn, improve and take on more responsibility

• A strong team player with a positive attitude

Trade qualifications in Joinery, Cabinet Making, Carpentry or similar are highly regarded.
