Macquarie University Health is seeking an Advanced Trainee in Gastroenterology to deliver clinical services to inpatients and outpatients across the specialty, based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde. This is a training-focused role within a unit where clinical care, teaching and research sit side by side, giving you exposure to a broad case mix and to the academic activity that shapes contemporary gastroenterology practice.
You will work alongside gastroenterologists, nursing and allied health colleagues in a genuinely multidisciplinary team, with structured supervision and mentorship throughout your term. Many of our consultants also hold appointments at large tertiary teaching hospitals, bringing depth and breadth of expertise to your training. Alongside ward and clinic work, you will contribute to endoscopic procedures, infusion services, research projects and clinical trials, and have the opportunity to learn transabdominal ultrasound for inflammatory bowel disease.
If you are a registrar looking to extend your gastroenterology skills in an environment that values evidence-based, patient-centred care and supports your academic development, we welcome your application.
About the Role
