Environmental Assistant Full Time

• 8 days on / 6 days off roster, FIFO from Perth
• Hands-on environmental role at Granny Smith Gold Mine
• Field-based role with exposure to monitoring, rehabilitation & drone work

The Opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an existing FIFO employee to transition into an Environmental role and build a long-term career. This position is suited to someone with practical problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Previous mining or FIFO experience is highly regarded but not essential.

If you enjoy working outdoors, this role offers plenty of field-based work, including environmental monitoring and sampling, with excellent opportunities for development and career progression.

 You’ll make a meaningful impact by supporting the Environment team to ensure the mine meets its environmental obligations.

What You’ll Do

• Environmental monitoring, including collecting and sending water and soil samples

• Conduct environmental inspections and maintain records

• Use drones to capture imagery and assist with data collection

• Support waste management, fauna handling, and pastoral activities

• Suitable for hands-on operators

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in fieldwork or mining operations

• Ability to work outdoors in remote conditions and varying weather

• A valid manual driver’s licence
