Pristine Foods is a South Australian food manufacturing and innovation business providing contract manufacturing, processing, product development and packaging solutions to the food industry.

As our operations continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced ICT Business Analyst to help us improve the technology and business systems supporting our manufacturing and day to day operations.

This role will work closely with employees across production, quality assurance, inventory, warehousing, supply chain, finance, sales and management to understand their requirements and translate them into practical ICT system solutions.

About the role

As an ICT Business Analyst, you will act as the connection between our operational teams and our technology systems and service providers.

You will analyse how our current systems are being used, identify areas where processes or system functionality can be improved and prepare clear requirements and specifications for system enhancements, integrations and new technology solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

•           Working directly with users to understand, formulate and document business and ICT system requirements.

•           Reviewing existing ICT systems, workflows and operational processes to identify system limitations, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

•           Analysing how information flows between customer orders, production planning, manufacturing, inventory, quality assurance, traceability, warehousing, dispatch and management reporting.

•           Preparing detailed business requirements, functional requirements, system specifications, process maps, workflows and user requirements.

•           Translating operational requirements into functional specifications that can be clearly understood and implemented by software developers, system vendors and technology providers.

•           Using data and process modelling techniques to define system requirements, data flows, interfaces and expected system behaviour.

•           Reviewing existing system functionality and recommending modifications, additional system components, integrations or new ICT solutions where required.

•           Working with software vendors, developers and internal users during system configuration, enhancement and implementation projects.

•           Assisting with the preparation of ICT project plans, including scope, resources, priorities, implementation requirements, risks and project milestones.

•           Developing and implementing system test plans to ensure new functionality, integrations and system changes meet documented requirements.

•           Coordinating user acceptance testing and working with users to identify and resolve system issues before implementation.

•           Supporting the deployment of new systems, software enhancements, integrations and process automation solutions.

•           Reviewing system and operational data to identify inconsistencies, integration issues and opportunities to improve information accuracy and reporting.

•           Preparing user guides, system procedures, process documentation and training materials.

•           Providing training and practical assistance to employees when new systems, functionality or processes are introduced.

•           Acting as a central point of reference between business users, management and external ICT providers throughout system projects.

•           Monitoring implemented solutions and recommending further improvements based on user feedback, operational requirements and business growth.

About you

We are looking for someone who enjoys understanding how businesses operate and can turn operational requirements into practical technology solutions.

You will ideally have:

•           A Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a closely related field.

•           Relevant professional experience as an ICT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or in a similar ICT systems focused position.

•           Strong experience gathering, analysing and documenting business and system requirements.

•           Experience preparing functional specifications, system requirements, process maps and workflow documentation.

•           Good understanding of data modelling, process modelling and information flows between business systems.

•           Experience participating in ICT system implementation, enhancement, integration or digital transformation projects.

•           Experience developing test plans, conducting system testing and coordinating user acceptance testing.

•           A practical understanding of databases, reporting systems, system integrations and business applications.

•           Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

•           Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non technical users.

•           Experience working with ERP, manufacturing, inventory, warehouse, production planning, supply chain or quality management systems would be highly regarded.

Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or another operationally complex environment would be an advantage.
