About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, hands-on Program Coordinator to join our passionate and ambitious team. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator supports the successful delivery of Helpmann Academy’s professional development programs, grants, awards, residencies and events for emerging creatives.
Working closely with the Program Manager, the role coordinates program administration, participant and stakeholder communications, event logistics, data and evaluation to ensure programs are delivered professionally, efficiently and to a high standard.
You will work collaboratively across the team and bring your initiative, attention to detail, events experience and knowledge of the arts sector to this early to mid-level position. This role is ideal for those with 2+ years of experience who are seeking to develop further skills within a well respected arts organisation to make a significant impact on the careers of emerging artists.

You'll bring:
● Relevant tertiary qualifications (Creative Arts/ Event Management) and/or equivalent professional experience in arts administration, events, producing or project coordination.
● High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a hands-on work environment.
● Ability to collaborate with the team and a wide range of stakeholders.
● Effective organisational and time management skills.
● Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
● A high level of attention to detail with a proactive mind-set.
● Legal right to work without restrictions.
TERMS
3 days per week (between Monday and Thursday).
Out-of-hours work (evenings/weekends) will be required, with time off in lieu provided in accordance with organisational policy.
Salary is $60-000 - $65,000 pro-rata (0.6EFT) + 12% superannuation.
This position is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract basis, subject to a six-month probation period.
