About the role
ARC Planning is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join our dynamic team and take our business to the next level.
You will be seeking an autonomous role that is challenging and requires you to work with the Director in delivering expected outcomes.
What you'll be doing
Preparation, submission, and oversight of development applications;
Participation in strategic planning and policy initiatives;
Assessment of planning schemes and legislation interpretation;
Provision of planning advice across various local government areas and development types;
Project management of development applications;
Pursuing out-of-the-box solutions for clients
Collaboration with council assessment managers, clients, and consultant teams to achieve positive planning outcomes;
Review of development plans and technical reports;
Support for planning research and investigations;
Keeping our clients informed and up to date throughout the processes
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Urban Design, Town Planning or a related discipline
Min 4 years experience in Development Assessment within local or state government.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex planning regulations
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A collaborative and proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently
Familiarity with the planning and development landscape in Queensland
