IT Midrange Database Specialist

We are seeking IT Midrange Database Specialists (Administrator and Designer) to join our Midrange Database Services Team.
As an IT Midrange Database Administrator, you’ll support the delivery and operation of enterprise SQL Server platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. You’ll be responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing database services, supporting platform availability, operational resilience, monitoring, incident resolution, and service improvement. The role contributes to platform modernisation through automation, standardisation, and the adoption of contemporary database technologies and practices.
As an IT Midrange Database Designer, you’ll support the design, development, and delivery of enterprise database solutions. Working closely with application teams, architects, and project stakeholders, you’ll provide technical advice and governance to ensure database solutions align with organisational standards, architecture principles, and operational requirements. The role contributes to the continual improvement of database engineering practices, deployment processes, and platform capabilities across both on-premises and cloud environments.
Working with limited supervision, both roles require sound judgement, accountability, and a commitment to delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable database services that support business outcomes and ongoing technology modernisation initiatives.
Candidates may be placed in Midrange Database Administrator or Designer roles.
These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Canberra or Melbourne CBD.
