About the role
Who we are
Footprints is a leading not for profit organisation supporting older Australians and people experiencing mental health challenges. Since 1991, we have grown into a multi-site provider known for person-led, innovative and integrated services that enhance wellbeing, independence and social connection. Through strong partnerships across health, housing and community sectors, we deliver meaningful, lasting impact. As a Best Workplace Award winner, we are guided by strong leadership, collaboration and a shared commitment to strengthening communities.
About the opportunity
As the Medicare Mental Health Manager you will provide clinical operational leadership across Footprints' Medicare Mental Health services, including establishing and operationalising new service locations while maintaining the performance, quality and sustainability of existing centres. Reporting to the General Manager Service Operations, you will be accountable for ensuring services are integrated, accessible, safe, person-led and responsive to local community needs.
You will lead service mobilisation and ongoing operations, including project planning, workforce establishment, stakeholder engagement, service model implementation, financial oversight, governance and performance monitoring. You will work closely with internal teams, funding bodies, Primary Health Networks, government agencies, health services and community partners to ensure centres are established and operate safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual and organisational requirements.
You will lead a high-performing and collaborative service environment where people with lived experience contribute to service design and improvement, team members are supported to deliver contemporary practice and partnerships strengthen pathways into and across the mental health system.
