About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Modernisation Design Engineer is to provide mechanical engineering and drafting support on product packages for Modernisation projects and to design, approve, draw and/or modify any dimensions/layouts in AutoCAD and Inventor software in readiness for manufacture

Key Accountabilities:

• Design and approve mechanical solutions on a project basis as required
• Produce and approve drawings for local manufacturing, special parts, steel work etc.
• Ensure design complies to all current codes and regulations
• Provide and approve Drive Calculations
• Assist with the review of order specifications as required.
• Assist with the establishment of ordering processes.
• Assist sales with specification queries.
• Manage drawing storage and database for accessibility to all regions
• Support site survey process with design recommendations etc

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, e.g.  Sales Support Engineer where you have been required to use your technical knowledge to create a customised solution.
• You will also possess excellent communication skills
• A strong attention to detail and the drive to proactively manage the project milestones to ensure that all work is completed within the required deadlines.
• Minimum of diploma-level or equivalent formal qualification in engineering studies (Mechanical Engineering).
