This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst and Supervisor to join our growing team in the Melbourne office.

A Typical Day / The Work

As an integral part of the Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency team you’ll coordinate and progress a variety of engagements. Day to day you’ll be involved in:

• Assist in co-ordinating and conducting formal insolvency matters such as Court Liquidations, Creditors Voluntary Liquidations, Members Voluntary Liquidations, Receiverships, Small Business Restructures and Voluntary Administrations

• Assisting with Independent Business Reviews and Pre-Lending reviews for financial institutions

• Dealing with key stakeholders, such as management, employees, creditors and investors

• Preparing reports to lenders and creditors

• Reviewing all working papers to ensure accuracy and that files are maintained in the appropriate manner

• Executing day to day operational strategies and maintain compliance with key risk management processes

• Supervising junior staff in the execution of tasks

• Enthusiastically support and coach junior staff

• Performing and overseeing financial and commercial analysis to support key decisions and recommendations to our clients

• Participating in business development, including developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers across the HoganSprowles network.

What You’ll Bring

·         Tertiary qualifications in an Accounting of Finance related field

·         CA or CPA qualifications

·         Currently completing (or aspiring to undertake) the ARITA Advanced Insolvency qualification.

·         2-3 years prior experience in insolvency and business restructuring is necessary, combined with an aptitude for problem solving, financial analysis, an investigative skill set and strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         A high level of attention to detail

·         A keen desire to achieve value for our clients in times of distress or disruption.
