Contract: Approx. 12 months, with an extension option
Pay: $109.38 to $115.57 p/h including super
Work type: Full-time
Work arrangement: Hybrid (50% WFH available)

About the Role
This is a hands-on technical leadership role with our State Government client. You will design, build and lead enterprise AI solutions across Microsoft and AWS platforms. The focus is practical delivery. You will turn business needs into scalable AI architectures, agents, copilots and integrations, then guide them from proof of concept through production and operational support.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and build AI solutions using Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft 365 Copilot and AWS Bedrock
• Translate business needs into architectures, workflows, agent designs and integration patterns
• Develop proof-of-concept, pilot and production-ready AI solutions
• Lead technical design for AI agents, copilots and automation
• Build RAG, knowledge-grounding, prompt and agent-orchestration patterns
• Integrate AI with enterprise APIs, business systems, data and knowledge repositories
• Design AI workloads across Azure and AWS
• Lead deployment, testing, configuration and performance optimisation
• Implement privacy, security and Responsible AI controls
• Support FAIRA, risk, assurance and governance activities
• Mentor developers and solution builders
• Produce reusable patterns, technical documentation and operational support artefacts

What You Bring (Essential Criteria)

• You've designed and built enterprise AI solutions, not just advised on them
• You've delivered agents, copilots, workflows or AI-enabled applications
• You have strong Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI services experience
• You have experience with AWS Bedrock or AWS cloud-native AI services
• You can design solution and integration architectures across complex environments
• You've implemented APIs, RAG, knowledge grounding, vector stores or similar retrieval patterns
• You've technically led AI solutions through proof of concept, pilot or production
• You understand security, privacy, governance and Responsible AI implementation
• You're an Australian citizen
• You can complete a National Police Check

Nice to Have (Desirable Criteria)

• Enterprise AI delivery in Queensland Government or another large public-sector environment
• Experience with semantic layers, vector stores and enterprise knowledge repositories
• Experience supporting FAIRA, AI assurance or risk assessment
• Experience creating reusable AI patterns, accelerators or development standards
