Project Manager -Pressure Vessels

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead major pressure vessel projects and complex infrastructure and energy builds operating with Tier 1 clients. You will join a multidiscipline team working in a vertical integrated company delivering leading edge solutions. Key to this role is strong engineering problem solving and competitive project leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

• Review tenders and work with estimators for solution-based project pricing

• Develop and verify the project management plan with all required stakeholders

• Direct and manage project execution through managing individuals and commitments; influencing upwards the outcomes necessary for successful project delivery

• Develop project schedules to define and sequence project activities then determine required resources and estimate effort/durations to deliver the project activities

• Manage assigned work to meet project needs and proactively working with other team members to ensure those project goals are met

• Identify, quantify and mitigate project risks in collaboration with the project team, stakeholders and subject matter experts

• Coordinate Internal Resources, Subcontractor, Designer and Supplier

• Manage external stakeholder relationships, communication and expectations regarding project delivery

• Ensure costs are effectively controlled on assigned work and ensuring work is completed within budgeted timeframes

About you

• Degree qualification in Mechanical/Structural Engineering

• Working knowledge and understanding of relevant codes and standards realting to pressure vessels and insualated piping

• Involvement in delivering integrated projects

• Well-developed IT skills and project planning software

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

• Strong team leader and mentor capable of sound judgment and interpersonal skills to deal with conflict, negotiate and influence outcomes
