One of our subsidiaries, Mainetec Pty Ltd is looking for qualified FITTERS to join our Mackay QLD team.
Mainetec is a leading manufacturer who is a progressive OEM specialising in bucket manufacture, fabrication, heavy equipment repairs, Plasma Transfer Arc Welding, mine site maintenance, and parts supply. The role includes but is not limited to: Read and interpret drawings and specifications
Use various tools and machinery to assist in the assembly of a wide range of bulk material handling equipment such as conveyors, feeders and crushers Will be fitting and assembling metal parts to fabricated production machines and other equipment. Will be using a range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mobile and fixed mechanical plant and equipment to operational standards
Complete daily maintenance and repair logs Adhere to and promote Workplace Health & Safety regulations Report any hazardous situations and be aware of responsibility in the event of an emergency
Report any items requiring maintenance Ensure that safety precautions are adhered to when using equipment Access and have the ability to complete Job Risk Assessments
To be considered for this role, you must have the following: Trade certifications and qualifications Proven experience working as a fitter.
Proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of an outstanding team Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints Ability to use hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication time management, and organisational skills Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
