McIntosh & Son, Wongan Hills is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Service team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, we are looking for a motivated and experienced leader who can drive workshop performance, develop a high-performing team and deliver an outstanding customer experience. This is a key leadership role responsible for the overall performance of the Service Department. You'll oversee day-to-day workshop operations, coordinate workflow and resources, manage customer relationships and drive productivity, profitability, safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage and develop the Service team, including Supervisors, Technicians and Apprentices
- Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, job allocation, workflow and resource planning
- Drive workshop productivity, labour recovery and profitability targets
- Monitor job costing, timesheets, invoicing and departmental costs
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and act as the primary contact for service enquiries and escalations
- Work closely with Parts and Sales to ensure a seamless customer experience and efficient branch operations
- Liaise with suppliers and OEMs regarding technical support and service requirements
- Monitor service quality and minimise rework, waste and downtime
- Ensure a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
- Oversee training, development and performance of the Service team
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

Ensure compliance with company, WHS and legislative requirements
About You
- Trade qualified in Agricultural Machinery, Heavy Diesel, Automotive or a related mechanical trade
- Proven experience in a Service Manager, Workshop Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control
- A strong customer service focus and commitment to service excellence
- Sound knowledge of workshop operations, machinery and service processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills and the ability to use service management and business systems effectively

A current driver's licence is essential

Experience in the agricultural machinery, heavy equipment or related industries will be highly regarded
