Salary: $95,000 – $110,000 + super

Load & Go is a well-established transport and cartage company specialising in construction, demolition, bulk haulage and on-site works across Greater Sydney and NSW. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to take ownership of our accounts payable and receivable function and play a key role in maintaining strong cash flow and accurate financial records.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, full-time position based at our West Hoxton depot. You will report directly to our Internal Accountant and be responsible for the end-to-end management of accounts payable and receivable in a busy operational environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing supplier invoices, coding expenses, scheduling payments and maintaining accurate vendor records

• Managing customer invoicing, tracking outstanding payments and following up on overdue accounts

• Reconciling supplier statements and customer accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies

• Processing payments while maintaining proper approval workflows and documentation

• Pursuing collection of outstanding debts and liaising with customers regarding payment terms and disputes

• Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records in Xero

• Assisting with month-end and year-end processes, including accruals

• Liaising with internal teams, drivers and suppliers regarding billing, dockets, expense queries and payment issues

• Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years proven experience in accounts payable and receivable

• Strong proficiency with Xero and Microsoft Excel

• Experience with bank reconciliations, supplier/customer statements, and high-volume invoice and docket processing

• Previous experience in the transport, recycling or quarry/materials industries highly regarded

• Comfortable dealing with drivers, suppliers and internal operational staff

• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Strong follow-up skills on outstanding invoices

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualification advantageous

• Right to work in Australia
