Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Designer / Draftsperson to join our established design team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of high-end residential projects, including custom single and two-storey homes, innovative display homes, and selected multi-residential and government projects.

The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept design through to construction documentation, working closely with clients, consultants, local authorities, and our internal sales and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and documentation of custom residential homes and related developments.
• Preparation of concept sketches, planning submissions, and detailed working drawings.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and internal stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Coordinate and manage external consultant information and documentation.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Building Codes, Residential Design Codes (R-Codes), Australian Standards, and local planning requirements.
• Maintain drawing accuracy and documentation standards throughout project delivery.
• Assist in resolving design and construction-related issues as projects progress.
• Monitor planning requirements and industry changes across metropolitan and regional local government areas.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Certificate IV in Residential Building Drafting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in residential design and drafting within the Western Australian market.
• Advanced proficiency in ArchiCAD (Version 22 or later).
• Strong understanding of the National Construction Code, Residential Design Codes, and local planning requirements.
• Experience designing and documenting both single and two-storey homes.
• Strong technical detailing skills and a high level of drawing presentation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
