Clinical Nurse - Mental Health | Moranbah | 3-Week Contract | Commencing 28 Sept

Troocoo Healthcare is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse (Grade 6) with a strong mental health background for an exciting contract opportunity supporting the Hinterland Mental Health Service based in Moranbah, with the option to be based in Mackay and travel to the Hinterland region as required.

Location: Moranbah, QLD (or Mackay with outreach)
Contract: 28 September 2026 – 18 October 2026
Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm
Maximum 80 hours per fortnight
Full contract preferred

About the Role You'll join a multidisciplinary Mental Health team delivering vital services across the Hinterland region, providing assessment, treatment, crisis intervention and ongoing case management for individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

The service includes:

• Adult Mental Health
• Child & Youth Mental Health
• Acute Care Team
• Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) Services

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced clinician who enjoys autonomous practice, rural healthcare and making a genuine difference within regional communities.

Essential Experience To be successful you will have:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA)
• Extensive Mental Health case management experience
• Competency in performing ECGs
• Excellent assessment and clinical decision making skills
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team

Highly Regarded Experience with any of the following will be advantageous:

• Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) case management
• Child & Adolescent Mental Health
• Queensland Health experience
• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016
• Experience using:
  • CIMHA
  • ATODS-IS
  • ieMR
