Chef De Partie

Johnson Property Group is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join the team at De Costi Seafood, Watagan Park Shopping Centre in Cooranbong.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-known seafood brand within the growing Watagan Park precinct. As Watagan Park continues to expand, so too will our retail and hospitality offering, making this a great time to become part of the team.

Working within the De Costi Seafood store, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality seafood and takeaway meals while helping us deliver a great experience for our customers.

• Prepare, cook and present a range of fresh seafood and takeaway menu items

• Prepare ingredients and complete mise en place for daily service

• Ensure food is prepared consistently and to a high standard

• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards

• Monitor food quality, freshness and presentation

• Assist with stock rotation, storage and portion control to minimise waste

• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen and food preparation area

• Work closely with the retail and wider store team during busy service periods

• Assist with the development of menu items, specials and seasonal offerings

• Provide friendly and efficient service when interacting with customers

• Follow all company procedures and food safety requirements

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with fresh food and takes pride in producing consistently high-quality meals.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous experience as a Chef, Cook or in a similar commercial food preparation role

• Strong food preparation and cooking skills

• Experience working with seafood would be highly regarded

• A good understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practices

• The ability to work efficiently in a busy retail and takeaway environment

• Strong attention to detail and a focus on freshness, quality and presentation

• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a broader team

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends and busy trading periods

You'll work with quality fresh produce in a supportive team environment, with the variety of combining food preparation and cooking with the fast pace of a busy retail seafood store.
