About the role
Select Civil Pty Ltd is a leading civil and waste services company delivering quality projects and solutions across NSW, QLD, VIC and WA. With a large fleet of heavy plant, machinery and equipment, we are seeking an experienced Spray Painter / Panel Beater to join our workshop team based at Kembla Grange, NSW.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys working on a variety of heavy machinery, trucks, plant and equipment in a well-established and growing company.
About the RoleReporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation, repair and painting of heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment and associated components. Your duties will include:
Panel repairs, fabrication and restoration work on heavy plant and equipment
Preparation of surfaces including sanding, filling, masking and priming
Spray painting of machinery, components and fleet assets to a high standard
Colour matching and paint mixing
Repairing damaged panels, guards and bodywork
Assisting with fleet presentation and refurbishment projects
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
Working collaboratively with mechanics, boilermakers and workshop staff
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Trade qualification as a Spray Painter and/or Panel Beater (preferred)
Experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks, earthmoving equipment or industrial machinery
Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work
Experience with heavy plant, mining, civil or waste industry equipment will be highly regarded.
