Senior Legal Counsel | Commercial 5+ years
Wolf & Williams are partnering with a leading Australian property and development organisation, seeking a senior level commercial lawyer to support the business across a broad portfolio spanning commercial contracts, property, projects, and governance.
The organisation delivers major projects across the country, working across the public and private sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded legal team and support an organisation delivering significant community and housing outcomes.
This role is an initial 3 month contract term, with strong possibility of extension.
The role
This role offers a broad and interesting mix of work, including:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating technology, software, procurement, supplier, consultancy, service and confidentiality agreements.Advising on commercial, contractual and operational matters, including procurement and technology projects.Supporting corporate governance, policy development and regulatory compliance.Advising on privacy, data governance, information management and emerging AI-related issues.Assisting with internal enquiries, investigations, regulatory requests, compliance registers and privacy related matters.
About you
You will ideally have at least 5+ years’ post-admission experience gained either in-house, or in private practice.
You will bring demonstrated experience across general commercial matters, contract drafting and negotiation, procurement and supplier arrangements, together with exposure to corporate governance, policy development, privacy or regulatory compliance.
This role would suit a pragmatic, solutions-focused lawyer who can quickly understand the organisation’s operations, manage a varied workload and build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
Strong technical legal skills, sound commercial judgement and the confidence to work autonomously will be highly valued.
