• $137,963 per annum + 12% superannuation
• Full-time, ongoing opportunity
• Wadawurrung / Geelong based role (3 days minimum in the office)

About the role

As a Senior Premium Auditor, you'll help protect the integrity of Victoria's workers compensation insurance scheme by ensuring employers are paying the correct WorkCover premium.

Working primarily with large employers, you'll conduct complex compliance reviews, make evidence-based determinations, and provide technical leadership across the Premium Compliance team. You'll also contribute to projects and initiatives that strengthen WorkSafe's Premium Compliance program.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reviews and determine whether employers' premiums have been calculated in accordance with WorkSafe legislation, policies and guidelines.
• Engage directly with employers and their representatives, including conducting site visits and providing guidance and education.
• Interpret and apply the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and associated Premiums Orders.
• Provide technical advice and support to colleagues, management and external stakeholders.
• Lead or support compliance initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Conduct Agent Audits relating to registrations, workplaces and industry classification changes.

About you

You are an experienced auditor with strong technical expertise, sound judgement and excellent stakeholder management skills. You enjoy analysing complex information, mentoring others and contributing to a high-performing team.

Ideally you will also bring:

• Knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and associated Premiums Orders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to review and interpret financial documents and other relevant information.
• Proven experience building relationships and influencing a range of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Finance or Law are desirable, but not mandatory. Significant relevant experience will also be considered.

Eligibility requirements

• Ongoing employment with WorkSafe Victoria requires Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
• Preferred candidates will be required to complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, and other relevant pre-employment checks.
