As the Engineering Technical Training Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering aircraft type training, both Theory and Practical on course (POC), as well as operational training including Technical and Non-Technical Training needs. You will ensure Qantas Group and Customer engineering staff are trained to out high standards to enable them to perform fleet maintenance tasks on a wide and diverse range of aircraft from B737-800 through to the latest introduction to our fleet in the A321XLR and A350 aircraft. As an Instructor, you will also play a critical role in developing training and in providing subject matter expert advice to our customers.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Demonstrated aircraft maintenance experience supported by CASA B1 and B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence(s) on Airbus and/or Boeing aircraft will be highly regarded
• Clearly demonstrable experience in aircraft technical type training delivery or the demonstrable experience and ability to become an Aircraft Engineering Technical Instructor
• Certificate IV in Aeroskills, an equivalent or the ability to obtain the competencies associated with the Certificate IV
• Highly developed computer skills
• Excellent customer service skills, capable of identifying customer needs
• Understanding and ability to work with students within the Human Factors Framework (essential)
• Ability to work under pressure in a highly dynamic environment and effectively negotiate positive outcomes
• Professional work ethic that ensures the highest standards of training and training outcomes are maintained
• Proven ability as a positive team member in a highly diverse and demanding workplace
• Flexibility in delivering training to align with operational requirements and deadlines
