Policy Officer

THE ROLE

The Policy Officer provides essential project management, coordination and policy support to support a branch that shapes the social housing system to meet the diversity of housing needs for different groups of people, including person-centred priorities. The Policy Officer is responsible for preparing briefing material, developing presentations, analysing data and coordinating input and communication across the branch and Homes Victoria to support Social Housing Policy initiatives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

• Develop briefs to executives and Ministers that support the progression of Victorian Government priorities, including Whole of Victorian Government reform implementation reporting.
• Provide well-reasoned advice, recommendations and solutions to sensitive issues based on comprehensive research and stakeholder collaboration.
• Provide a range of effective support functions, requiring the use of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint for papers, briefs, letters and other documents.
