About the role
Mandurah | Full-time or Part-time (for the right person) | Salary negotiable based on experience
Calmack Panel & Paint is a second-generation family-owned business, established in 1989, based in Mandurah, with a team of 14 dedicated to delivering high-quality collision repairs and outstanding customer service.
We're looking for an Administration & Accounts Officer to join our team as we farewell a long-term team member. While the role is available now, we're focused on finding the right person rather than simply filling the position.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration experience who enjoys working with people and would like to develop their skills in accounts and financial administration. Previous bookkeeping experience isn't essential, we're happy to provide training and mentoring for the right person.
Initially, your responsibilities will include:
Answering incoming phone calls
Greeting customers and providing excellent customer service
Booking vehicle repairs
Liaising with insurance companies
Ordering parts and following up suppliers
Processing invoices and customer payments
Assisting with payroll
As you become familiar with the role, you'll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities including:
Bank reconciliations
Accounts payable and receivable
Assisting with BAS preparation
End-of-month financial reporting
MYOB administration
General financial administration and office support
Has previous reception and administration experience
Has a warm, professional manner and excellent phone skills
Is organised and has strong attention to detail
Can manage multiple tasks in a busy office
Is honest, reliable and takes pride in their work
Enjoys learning new skills and taking on responsibility
Is looking for a long-term opportunity
Experience with payroll, accounts or MYOB will be highly regarded but is not essential.
Experience within the panel and paint or insurance industry is also an advantage but not required.
A welcoming and supportive team environment
Full-time or part-time hours for the right person
Flexible working arrangements where possible
Ongoing training and mentoring
Genuine opportunities to develop your skills in accounts and finance
Salary negotiated based on your experience and abilities
If you're someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team, takes pride in your work and is looking for a role where you can continue to learn and grow, we'd love to hear from you.
Please send your resume and a brief cover letter telling us a little about yourself and why you'd like to join the Calmack team.
