About the role
We're looking for a new Occupational Therapist to join our team!
Are you nearing the end of your Occupational Therapy degree and starting to think about where to work once you graduate? Or, are you an experienced Peadiatric Occupational Therapist looking for a change?
We’re on the lookout for a new Occupational Therapist to join us in providing the best evidence based therapy to children in Canberra to start in early 2027. We're on the hunt for a fun, energetic and adaptable new friend to join our team!
We could be a good fit if you looking for a team who is:
Fun and Young (or young at heart) - we're a team who doesn't take things too seriously and like to have a laugh.
Supportive - Mistakes are embraced! The reality is you can't learn without them and we provide extensive mentoring for our team to ensure they are set up to succeed.
Evidence based focus - we're not into trial-and-error therapy interventions or therapy that drags on forever. We aim to implement effective intervention that leads to goal achievement and discharge.
Great communicators - we aim for direct yet kind communication, and try to adapt our communication styles to suit each individual.
About Our Clinic 📢
We originally started as a mobile paediatric physiotherapy company in 2023 and have since expanded to include Occupational Therapy. We have 2 locations currently, in Phillip and Waramanga, and are in the midst of opening a North Lyneham Clinic. We work collaboratively within our team and with external medical teams such as paediatricians, external allied health and schools to provide the best therapy care to children and families in Canberra. We work with children aged 0-18 years, with the majority of our clients being under 6 years old.
Most of our appointments are clinic based, although we do a range of community, home and school visits. We prioritise including parents in treatment planning as we know that results happen when parents become active members in their child's therapy team. Our team has a big focus on education with most practitioners completing two or more external courses each year and weekly or fortnightly internal mentoring support. Our team currently consists of 7 Paediatric Physiotherapists, 3 Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants and our superstar admin support!
We are searching for a passionate Occupational Therapist who shares our excitement for clinically reasoned and holistic patient care to take on a diverse case load of children with disability, developmental delay and continence concerns.
Full training and support for the role will be provided. Both experienced OTs and new graduate OT’s are encouraged to apply for the role. Whilst we are hoping for this role to commence in early 2027, we are very much looking for the right fit for our team can be flexible on start date for the right person.
