Workshop Controller

Berwick Land Rover, part of Autosports Group, is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Workshop Controller to join our growing Aftersales team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced automotive leader who thrives on performance, enjoys developing people and is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience within a premium automotive environment.

The Role

As Workshop Controller, you’ll play a critical role in leading the day-to-day workshop operation. You’ll work closely with our technicians, Service Advisors and Aftersales leadership team to maximise workshop throughput, productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.

You will:

• Lead, motivate and develop the workshop team
• Manage daily workflow and workshop throughput
• Drive technician productivity, efficiency and performance
• Identify and resolve operational challenges strategically and adaptively
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and manufacturer compliance
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with the JLR OEM, ensuring alignment with manufacturer standards, expectations and initiatives
• Work collaboratively with JLR to support operational performance, customer experience and ongoing improvement
• Collaborate with Service Advisors to deliver an exceptional customer journey
• Identify opportunities to improve workshop profitability and performance
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of the Berwick Land Rover operation

About You

We’re looking for a performance-driven leader who can create accountability while building a positive, high-performing team culture.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Previous experience in an automotive workshop leadership or supervisory role
• Strong understanding of workshop operations, productivity and efficiency
• Focus on forming and maintaining credible relationships with the JLR OEM
• A strong understanding of JLR manufacturer processes, standards and expectations
• Proven ability to lead and develop people
• Strong commercial and problem-solving capability
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, adaptable and continuous-improvement mindset
• The confidence to lead from the front and make decisions when it matters
