Handyperson

Novotel Sydney Parramatta is looking for enthusiastic & passionate Handyperson join our team on a part-time basis.

Located just minutes from Parramatta CBD, our hotel caters to a diverse mix of business and leisure travelers. As the Handyperson, you will play an essential role in maintaining the hotel’s facilities to ensure a safe, comfortable and well-presented environment for our guests and team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for:

• Undertaking general repairs and maintenance as well as preventative maintenance throughout the Hotel.
• Complete daily plant rounds and servicing of plant and general equipment as directed.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
• Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Property management System (PMS).
• Assist in keeping up-to-date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a similar role or hospitality environment is an advantage but not essential
• The drive to work hard and get your hands dirty.
• The ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to working rotating shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Good organisational and multitasking skills.
