Sales Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with a strong background in commercial refrigeration systems to join our team based in Brompton, SA.

About the opportunity

This role is ideal for a well-rounded refrigeration professional who enjoys technical problem-solving, working with customers, and influencing project outcomes.

As a Sales Engineer, you will combine your hands-on industry knowledge with commercial insight to provide solutions that help customers achieve successful project and maintenance outcomes.

You will:

• Provide technical guidance and practical solutions to customers and internal sales teams

• Support equipment selection and refrigeration system design

• Assist customers in identifying the most suitable products and solutions for their applications

• Help drive sales growth across the region

• Strengthen long-term customer relationships

• Work closely with contractors, consultants, end users and internal stakeholders

Your real-world experience will allow you to confidently recommend the right refrigeration solutions while becoming a trusted technical advisor to customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical advice on commercial refrigeration and chillers

• Assist with system design, equipment selection and quotation preparation

• Follow up opportunities to maximise sales conversion and revenue outcomes

• Work alongside sales teams on customer visits, technical presentations and solution development

• Support product launches, customer training sessions and industry engagement activities

• Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities

• Contribute to sales planning, forecasting and regional growth strategies

• Develop strong relationships with contractors, consultants and customers

About you

• An experienced Refrigeration Technician

• A Senior Tradesperson looking to move into a technical sales pathway

• A Technician with estimating, design or project management exposure

• An existing Sales Engineer looking for a new challenge

Essential experience

• Commercial refrigeration industry experience

• Strong understanding of refrigeration system design and component selection

• Experience working with compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls and refrigerants

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and project requirements

• Experience supporting refrigeration contractors, installers or refrigeration projects

You will have

• Solid hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration systems

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility

• Commercial awareness and a proactive, results-focused mindset

Previous sales experience is advantageous but not essential. Technical capability, attitude and industry experience are highly valued.
