Wesley College is currently seeking a Science Teacher in an ongoing capacity commencing in Term 1, 2027. Experience teaching Biology across year levels and including at ATAR level will be highly regarded. You will have the opportunity to teach as part of a team of dedicated and passionate Science Teachers, working within our award-winning, state-of-the-art Mildred Manning Science Centre.  This facility comprises agile, multi-disciplinary learning spaces, which are adaptable to meet students’ needs.

 Our ideal candidate will have:

• tertiary teaching qualifications in Science, with TRB clearance and the ability to teach in WA;
• the ability to teach all Science subjects up to Year 10 level and the experience and expertise to teach Biology at ATAR level;
• have an understanding of Western Australian Curriculum requirements;
• a positive, collaborative and flexible approach to work;
• the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• experience in effectively managing the pastoral needs of students;
• good skills utilising and facilitating the use of technology in the classroom;
• a sound understanding of pedagogical principles in the classroom including creative and critical thinking tools;
• the ability to utilise numerous approaches in the analysis of formative and summative assessment to inform teaching practice as well as the provision of valuable feedback in a timely, constructive and substantive manner; and
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills in interactions with colleagues, parents and students.

All teachers are expected to participate in the pastoral care and co-curricular life of the school.
