You will have the opportunity to work within the Colleague Café providing meals for our colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set in order to build a career with-in the Langham, shall you be determined and dedicated.

 

Job tasks and responsibilities:

·  Assures their preparation for the section is prepared and completed to a five star standard

·  Complete assigned duties across all workstations within our staff cafe

·  Advise the Senior Chef on duty of inventory items needed for operational needs as required

·  Actively promote and participate in teamwork and positive communication with the kitchen and other departments.

·  Follow all procedures under the hotel’s Food Safety Program, meeting FSANZ standards

·  Responsible for the hygienic and safe preparation of food within the kitchen and the Food Safety Program.

·  Ensure correct storage and rotation of ingredients (FIFO/FEFO).

·  Maintain neat, organised work areas at all times.

·  Work collaboratively with chefs at all levels to ensure efficient workflow.

·  Communicate clearly during service, especially regarding timing, stock levels, and food-safety concerns.

·  Support junior staff and cooks with basic training and guidance.

·  Maintain accurate labelling, dating, and storage records.

·  Report equipment faults or hazards promptly to supervisors

·  Follow hotel allergen management plan.

·  Ability to correctly communicate of allergen to colleague café patrons.

Cleaning & Sanitisation

 

• Complete daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning tasks according to the kitchen’s cleaning schedule.

   

   

• Use proper chemicals and sanitising procedures for food-contact surfaces.

   

   

• Keep your section organised, hygienic, and audit-ready at all times.
