About Us
MAC Inc. is the leading arts and culture provider in the eastern metropolitan region of Perth. We deliver diverse arts education and cultural programs via two venues; Mundaring and Midland Junction Arts Centres. Each year, our artistic program includes curated exhibitions, performances, workshops, artist talks and artist residencies. We also offer venue hire, hold events and collaborate on community development projects.

The Role
The Cultural Program Coordinator oversees and delivers the exhibition and creative programs, under the guidance of the Artistic Program Manager. Working closely with the MAC Inc. team, artists, external curators, and contractors you will be responsible for the logistical and operational aspects of the MAC Inc. Cultural program for the Mundaring Arts Centre.
The ideal candidate would have an eye for detail and a passion for the arts with demonstrated experience, the ability to work autonomously, and high-level interpersonal skills.
HOW TO APPLY

Selection criteria
1. Demonstrated experience in exhibition coordination, installation, and production of contemporary visual arts projects with an awareness of the National Standards for Australian Museums and Galleries
2. High quality written and verbal communication skills with an understanding of marketing and a range of relevant programming documentation including copywriting, editorial, grant writing or promotional acumen.
3. Demonstrated administrative experience including ability to manage schedules, event logistics and budgets
4. Proven success with coordinating staff, contractors and volunteers for the timely and efficient delivery of projects
5. High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders and establish and maintain effective working relationships
6. Interest and knowledge of contemporary arts of all disciplines, local artists, organisations and networks
7. Availability to work evening and weekend events
8. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
9. Holder of a C-class Driver’s License or higher.

MAC Inc. reserves the right to appoint the right candidate prior to the closing date or readvertise if applicants are deemed unsuitable. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia and fulfil the above Selection Criteria. This position is offered as a 12-month contract to the successful applicant with a view to extend and/or offer a permanent position.
