About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to support our onsite operations in our Machining area. This is a hands-on role assisting qualified tradespeople with a variety of tasks onsite.

The role suits someone safety-focused, physically capable, and willing to take direction while gaining exposure to a range of engineering and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting tradesmen on site at Leppington with general workshop tasks

• Wrapping and preparing materials for transport

• Operating forklifts and overhead cranes

• Keeping the workshop and work areas clean, tidy and organised

• Moving and handling materials and equipment safely

• Assisting with basic maintenance and trades related duties when required

• Following all workplace health and safety procedures

• Supporting machinists, fitters and other tradespeople as required

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience as a Trades Assistant or labourer is preferred

• A current Forklift licence is essential

• Overhead crane experience is highly regarded

• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures

• Reliable, hands on, willing to learn and be able to work as part of a team

• Willingness to work across various client sites
