About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to support our onsite operations in our Machining area. This is a hands-on role assisting qualified tradespeople with a variety of tasks onsite.
The role suits someone safety-focused, physically capable, and willing to take direction while gaining exposure to a range of engineering and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting tradesmen on site at Leppington with general workshop tasks
Wrapping and preparing materials for transport
Operating forklifts and overhead cranes
Keeping the workshop and work areas clean, tidy and organised
Moving and handling materials and equipment safely
Assisting with basic maintenance and trades related duties when required
Following all workplace health and safety procedures
Supporting machinists, fitters and other tradespeople as required
Skills and Experience
Previous experience as a Trades Assistant or labourer is preferred
A current Forklift licence is essential
Overhead crane experience is highly regarded
Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures
Reliable, hands on, willing to learn and be able to work as part of a team
Willingness to work across various client sites
