Machinist

About the Role

The Machinist is responsible for manufacturing components to specification using CNC milling and turning machines, while maintaining high-quality standards and complying with WHS requirements. The role contributes to efficient and cost-effective workshop operations, and supports production by accurately following Engineering drawings, maintaining equipment and completing required documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling and turning machines

• Prepare, cut and sort materials as required for production

• Maintain machines, tools, and equipment during and after use to ensure safe and efficient operation

• Organise and prioritise work to meet production schedules, target hours and cost budgets

• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality, in accordance with company procedures

• Follow company quality and inspection procedures during the manufacturing process

What We're Looking For

• Experience operating CNC milling and/or turning machines

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications

• Excellent understanding of machining, manufacturing and workshop practices

• Knowledge of WHS requirements in an industrial environment

• Physically capable of performing workshop duties and manual handling
