About the role
Looking for something more exciting than the same job in the same place every day?
Join our friendly, fun and hardworking crew as we travel to some of the best event locations across Perth and South West WA. One week you could be building a marquee for a luxury wedding at a winery, and the next you might be helping set up a major festival, corporate event or private celebration.
We’re looking for reliable Site Crew members to help install and pack down marquees, flooring, walls, furniture, lighting and other event equipment. You’ll work alongside experienced supervisors and a close-knit team that works hard, has a laugh and takes pride in delivering great events.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, travelling to different locations and seeing a job come together from start to finish. Previous marquee, construction, events or labouring experience is highly regarded, but training can be provided to the right person.
What You’ll Be DoingInstalling and dismantling marquees, pagodas and other temporary event structures
Laying flooring and installing walls, doors, lighting and event accessories
Loading and unloading trucks, trailers and equipment
Following site plans, job sheets and instructions from the Site Supervisor
Checking equipment against packing lists before and after each job
Cleaning, handling and storing equipment correctly
Following safe work practices, including manual handling and working-at-heights procedures
Helping keep worksites, vehicles and warehouse areas clean and organised
Reporting damaged, missing or unsafe equipment to the Site Supervisor
Assisting with event furniture, dance floors, staging and general event fit-outs
Travelling to jobs across Perth and South West WA, including occasional overnight stays
Reliable, punctual and ready to work
Comfortable with physical work, lifting and working outdoors
Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew
Willing to work early mornings, late finishes, weekends and irregular hours
Calm and productive in fast-paced environments
Strong awareness of workplace safety
Good communication and a professional attitude around clients and venue staff
Own transport is essential, as public transport may not suit early starts or late finishes
A valid driver’s licence is highly regarded
Forklift, truck, EWP or working-at-heights tickets are an advantage
Previous marquee installation, event hire, construction, landscaping, removals or general labouring experience is preferred but not essential
A genuinely friendly, fun and down-to-earth team
Varied work at unique venues and locations across Perth and South West WA
Opportunities to travel and work at weddings, festivals, corporate events and private functions
Competitive hourly rates
Weekend, night and public holiday penalty rates
Per diem payments for eligible overnight and regional work
Opportunities to gain licences and industry tickets
On-the-job training and opportunities to progress into Site Supervisor roles
