Role Purpose

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a proactive and commercially focused Procurement Officer to centrally manage, conduct and coordinate procurement activities across the Group.

Reporting to the Group Manager Fleet, Property and Procurement, this role plays a critical part in delivering value-for-money outcomes, strong supplier governance, and safe, compliant procurement practices aligned with AVADA’s SAFE values: Skillful, Reliable, Helpful and Professional.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have demonstrated experience in purchasing services, traffic equipment, hire equipment and utilities. Applications from candidates with experience solely in IT procurement, warehousing purchasing are unlikely to meet the requirements of the position.

Key Accountabilities

• Analyse procurement spend and identify cost-saving and value improvement opportunities
• Coordinate and manage fleet, equipment, fuel, and corporate procurement activities
• Establish and maintain contracts, preferred supplier arrangements, and pricing schedules
• Work with HSEQ and Operations to source safe, compliant, fit-for-purpose equipment
• Educate internal stakeholders on procurement policies, systems, and compliance
• Support fleet schedules and ensure spend aligns with approved budgets
• Create and maintain accurate procurement systems, processes, supplier data, and spend visibility
• Develop and maintain the Annual Procurement Plan
• Manage sourcing processes including RFQs, RFTs, and RFPs
• Build and manage strong supplier relationships

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:

• Qualifications in Business, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in procurement, sourcing, and contract management
• Experience in fleet, logistics, construction, or operational environments
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commercial mindset with high attention to detail
• Collaborative, hands-on approach and willingness to continuously improve
