Sales Consultant - Part Time or Casual

The Rug Establishment is seeking a motivated and design savvy part-time or casual Sales Support Professional to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a long-term career in luxury interiors, working with some of Australia’s most respected interior designers, architects and discerning retail clients.

You will be working with an industry leading team from our gallery style showroom and on location in high-calibre residential and commercial spaces across Perth, consulting with creative minds and surrounded by beautiful products.

This role is available 2-3 days per week, including every second Saturday, with the option for flexible hours in our showroom. 

You will:

• Support our team in consulting with retail and trade clients on handcrafted, luxury rugs

• Collaborate with your team on custom rug designs for clients and designers

• Prepare quotes and manage projects from enquiry through to completion

• Build strong, long-term client relationships with thoughtful follow-up

• Work from our showroom and attend client homes and commercial sites

• Assist with visual merchandising and presentation standards

This is a hands-on role that combines sales excellence, design sensibility and exceptional client service.

• Available 2-3 days per week, including every second Saturday, and availability for occasional holiday cover

• Physical capability to lift and move rugs throughout the day - a company paid medical will be conducted prior to commencement

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

• A genuine passion for interiors and an eye for detail

• Willing to learn, with a “can do” attitude

• Strong problem solving ability — you enjoy finding tailored solutions for clients

• Confidence using computers and systems

• A current, valid driver’s licence (mandatory)

• Experience in sales, retail, or interior design are highly regarded, but not essential
