River Road Creative Academy is looking for enthusiastic and engaging Music Teachers to join our growing team across our Tahmoor, Campbelltown and Moss Vale studios.

We are seeking teachers across:

• Guitar
• Piano / Keyboard
• Singing / Vocals
• Bass
• Drums / Percussion
• Violin / Strings
• Bands, ensembles and group music classes

Multi-instrumentalists are highly encouraged to apply.

About the Role

Our Music Teachers deliver engaging, student-centred lessons to children, teenagers and adults across a wide range of abilities and experience levels.

The role may include one-on-one tuition, group classes, bands and ensembles, workshops and community programs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging and age-appropriate music lessons
• Planning lessons around individual student goals and abilities
• Building musical skills, confidence and creativity
• Adapting teaching for different learning styles and needs
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive and welcoming learning environment
• Communicating professionally with students, families and the River Road team
• Maintaining attendance, lesson notes and other required records
• Participating in performances, workshops and studio activities where appropriate

Selection Criteria

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Strong practical skills in one or more relevant instruments
• Experience in music teaching, performance and/or the music industry
• The ability to engage and build positive relationships with students
• Confidence working with children, teenagers and/or adults
• A reliable, organised and professional approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An ability to adapt lessons to different abilities, learning styles and interests
• A commitment to inclusive, creative and student-centred music education
• A current NSW Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one

Relevant music qualifications are highly regarded, as is experience working with neurodivergent students, students with disability and diverse learning needs.

About River Road

River Road Creative Academy is a growing music and creative arts organisation operating across Tahmoor, Campbelltown and Moss Vale.

Our approach is practical, inclusive and creative, helping students develop musical skills while building confidence, exploring their interests and enjoying making music.

Contractor, Casual and part-time opportunities are available, with hours and locations based on teacher availability, instruments and student demand.

Pay: $45.00 – $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 20.0 per week
