About the role
About the role
This is a broad leadership role combining training management, trainer development, operational oversight and business development. You will take ownership of the quality and consistency of training delivery, support and develop the trainer network, and work directly with current and prospective clients to grow the business. The successful candidate will also remain involved in training delivery where required, particularly for key clients, specialised programs and trainer development.
Key responsibilities
Training leadership
Lead the quality, consistency and ongoing development of Vital First Aid's training delivery
Deliver engaging and clinically accurate first aid and emergency response training regularly
Recruit, onboard, mentor and support a growing network of trainers
Observe training sessions and provide constructive coaching and feedback
Develop and refine practical, scenario-based training programs
Ensure trainers remain current with clinical guidelines, industry practices and qualification requirements
Manage trainer availability, capability and allocation in collaboration with the operations team
Support the development of customised programs for corporate and industry clients
RTO quality and operations
Ensure training and assessment practices meet the requirements of the Standards for RTOs and relevant training packages
Monitor assessment quality, recordkeeping and trainer compliance
Contribute to validation, moderation and continuous-improvement activities
Maintain and improve training resources, assessment tools and delivery processes
Work with management and compliance personnel to prepare for audits and respond to compliance requirements
Identify operational risks and opportunities to improve the participant and client experience
Business development
Build relationships with corporate organisations, schools, government bodies and community groups
Identify and pursue new training opportunities and strategic partnerships
Meet with prospective clients to understand their training and emergency-response requirements
Prepare proposals, tenders and customised training solutions
Grow existing client accounts through strong service, relationship management and additional training opportunities
Represent Vital First Aid at meetings, industry events and networking opportunities
Maintain an active pipeline and provide clear reporting on opportunities, conversions and revenue
Work with the leadership and marketing teams to develop campaigns and new service offerings
About you
Current or previous professional experience as a paramedic
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment—TAE40122, TAE40116 or a recognised equivalent
Demonstrated experience delivering accredited first aid or emergency-response training
Strong understanding of CPR, first aid, advanced resuscitation and pre-hospital emergency care
Sound understanding of RTO training, assessment and compliance requirements
Experience leading, mentoring or supporting trainers
Strong business development, account management or client relationship skills
Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder-management abilities
Ability to prepare professional proposals and communicate confidently with decision-makers
Strong organisation, accountability and attention to detail
Current Working with Children Check
Current National Police Check
Current driver's licence and the ability to travel to client locations when required
