Prepare accurate bank, credit card, supplier and customer reconciliations within agreed timeframes.
Process supplier invoices, purchase orders and customer billing with accurate coding, approvals and supporting documentation.
Support payroll administration, superannuation, employee expense processing and checking against industrial awards regulation.
Maintain accurate financial data across accounting systems, spreadsheets and internal records.
Assist with month-end processes, including journals, reconciliations, reporting packs and management information.
Support BAS, GST and other compliance obligations in coordination with external accountants and internal stakeholders.
Monitor debtor balances, creditor payments and cash flow information, escalating issues where required.
Maintain orderly finance filing, document control and process records to support governance and audit readiness.
Liaise professionally with suppliers, customers, project teams, accountants, payroll providers and management.
Contribute to finance process improvements that strengthen accuracy, efficiency and internal controls.
Provide practical administration support to a growing business with operations across mining services, transport, civil, infrastructure and energy-related activities.
About you:
Demonstrated experience as a senior bookkeeper, finance administrator or accounts officer in a busy commercial environment for 2 or 3 years.
Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll support and month-end processes.
High attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Confident using accounting systems, Microsoft Excel and cloud-based business platforms, with experience in Xero, Pronto Xi, Deputy and SharePoint highly regarded.
Organised, reliable and able to work independently while remaining collaborative and team focused.
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to build respectful relationships with internal teams, suppliers, customers and external advisers.
Comfortable working in a growing business where systems, processes and priorities continue to evolve.
A practical problem-solver who takes ownership, follows through and looks for ways to improve how work is done.
A strong understanding of confidentiality, governance and the importance of accurate financial information.
Experience in mining services, contracting, transport, construction, Indigenous business or a multi-entity environment will be highly regarded.
A genuine alignment with Tjiwarl Contracting Services’ purpose of creating sustainable commercial opportunities and long-term benefits for Tjiwarl people.
This is an opportunity to play an important hands-on role in a growing Aboriginal-owned enterprise that combines commercial discipline with cultural responsibility, local workforce development and meaningful economic outcomes for Traditional Owners.
