Nightshift Operations Manager

Due to the growth of our business, we are looking for an experienced Night Shift Manager to lead a team of approx. 100 employees.

This is an Management position will be, five days per week, 9 pm to 5 am, either Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team and manage critical operations for a large food services business based in Kingsgrove, Sydney.  

Skills needed to apply for this position include.

• Ability to implement and make change

• Warehouse and logistics experience (food service knowledge is preferred)

• Strong People Leadership and Shift Rostering - Credit reduction and labour efficiency focus    

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and accurately communicate and report on key operational matters as such as pick rates and stock checking requirement. 

• This is a hands-on role working with other shift and team managers, and you will be expected to oversee and assist with all stock accuracy and picking issues, plus reporting and administration duties.     

This position is required to manage or assist in managing our night shift warehouse operations, including;

• Reporting on weekly KPI targets as set and agreed to reduce errors and/or credits

• Undertake staff performance assessment 

• Workplace safety procedures and manage/report on workplace incidents

• Recommend appropriate changes to operations to improve outcomes

• Medium computer skills (MS Word, Excel etc.)

• Warehouse Management System skills (Navison preferred)

• Awareness of and exposure to WH&S requirements

• Awareness of Lean or continuous improvement practices.
