Okayyy, apparently there’s no slowing our Alpha Digital pals down. 

The crew is growing again, and this time we’re looking for a Paid Media Manager ready to get their hands on some of Australia’s coolest brands, get properly stuck into the Paid work and flex those strategy and digital media planning muscles in a much bigger way.

Maybe you’re a Senior Paid Media Exec ready for that next jump. Or perhaps you’re already an early Manager and fancy bigger brands, more ownership and a real voice at the table. Either way, keep reading…

THE GIG

As Paid Media Manager, you’ll sit right at the heart of strategy, planning, performance and client relationships across some of Alpha’s most adored brands.

Reporting into a killer Paid Media Director, you’ll have plenty of support around you, but also the space to bring your POV to the table, stretch further into strategy and planning and take on more ownership as you grow.

And Paid Media? Still very much your thing. Google + Meta are your bread and butter, but you understand the wider Paid landscape too. You know how to build the right channel mix for the brand in front of you and you’re just as comfy shaping the thinking as you are getting hands-on in-platform and making campaigns hit.

You’ll own a small handful of client relationships, with Senior Paid Media Execs + Execs supporting the BAU, implementation and delivery alongside you.
Basically? A pretty bloody good mix of thinking, doing + owning, with a little leadership sprinkled in too.

Your day will look a lil’ like:

• Own Paid Media across a small portfolio of epic eCommerce brands, from strategy and planning through to execution and performance.
• Get properly close to your clients, turning business goals into smart channel plans, recommendations and next moves.
• Build, optimise and get amongst campaigns across Google + Meta, staying close to the platforms and always looking for that next little win.
• Dig into performance, spot what’s working, what isn’t and where the next opportunity lives.
• Own budgets, pacing, forecasting and reporting across your portfolio.
• Guide Senior Execs + Execs across BAU delivery, helping keep the work humming and standards high.
• Jump into implementation across some of Alpha’s biggest brands, while collabing with Creative, Client Service and the wider digital crew to make the work even better.

AND YOU?

First things first, you know Paid Media properly. You might be a Senior Paid Media Exec ready for that next step up, or an early-stage Manager looking for bigger brands, more ownership and more room to stretch.

Either way, you’ve got a good few years of hands-on Paid Media experience under your belt, and Google + Meta are very much your happy place.

You know how to take a client brief, understand the business behind it and carry that thinking through strategy, planning, build, optimisation and reporting. You’re technical enough to be a go-to in the platforms, but commercially switched on enough to see the bigger picture behind the numbers.

And if strategy and media planning is the bit you’re itching to flex more? Even better. You’ll have some very good brains around you while you build that side even further.

You’ll probably bring:

• 3+ years of hands-on Paid Media experience, ideally agency-side.
• Proper hands-on confidence across Google Ads + Meta, with exposure to TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and wider Paid channels a lovely bonus. You don’t need to know everything, but you’ll be curious enough to play, test and know when another channel belongs in the mix.
• Strong foundations across strategy, media planning, implementation and optimisation.
• A good grip on GA4, GTM, tracking, reporting and the commercial numbers behind performance.
• Client-facing chops, with the confidence to talk through the numbers, explain your thinking and bring a POV.
• Enough experience to guide and support more junior Paid humans while still loving being close to the work.
• eCommerce experience would be gorgeous, with Shopify + Merchant Center exposure a lovely bonus.
• You notice things, ask great questions + get moving.

And if you’re already using AI to make analysis, reporting, research or Paid workflows better? Gorgeous. Alpha is properly exploring where AI can make the work smarter, faster + better.
