Elexia Communications is looking for a Melbourne-based Communications Consultant to help build our growing presence in Victoria.We work at the sharp end of Australia’s energy and infrastructure sectors — renewables, storage, electricity, major projects and the issues that come with building things people care about.We’re looking for someone who can do more than write a decent media release.You’ll be a smart, energetic communications professional who can get across a complicated issue quickly, work out what matters and turn it into clear, compelling communications.You’ll work across media, corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, social content, thought leadership and issues management for some of Australia’s most interesting energy businesses.You’ll also help us build Elexia in Melbourne.We’re looking for someone with:Around 4–7 years’ experience in communications, PR, journalism, corporate affairs or a related fieldExcellent writing skills and strong news judgementConfidence dealing with clients and journalistsThe ability to take a brief and run with itEnough strategic nous to understand the bigger pictureThe discipline to work independently without disappearing into a caveA genuine appetite to work as part of a close, collaborative teamCuriosity, judgement and a willingness to get stuck inEnergy or infrastructure experience would be useful.
