Mechanical Fitter - Rail and Marine

CrewSELECT are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for multiple opportunities across Perth, ranging from heavy mining equipment rebuilds and rail maintenance to marine mechanical work.

• Rail maintenance and rolling stock workshops
• Marine mechanical maintenance and vessel repairs
• Workshop refurbishment and overhaul projects
• Ongoing casual assignments with genuine permanent opportunities available

• Rates from $50 - $77.18 per hour + penalties (depending on role and roster)
• 40-55+ hours per week with overtime available
• Immediate starts available

• Mechanical fitting, maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Rebuilding and refurbishing mining equipment
• Crushers, mills, pumps, gearboxes, feeders, shafts and rotating equipment
• Alignment, bearing replacement and fault finding
• Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
• Reading engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Working safely within workshop and industrial environments

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitters
• Strong workshop or heavy industry experience
• Experience within mining, fixed plant, mobile plant, rail or marine industries highly regarded
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attitude, reliability and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification (Australian or recognised overseas qualification)
• Current Driver's Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening

• Forklift Licence
