The role:

Eckermanns is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Desktop Support Specialist - Level 2 who is passionate about providing IT support on a broad range of systems and devices for a 6 month maximum term contract. Reporting to and working closely with the ICT Manager you will:

• provide technical (hardware and applications) support for all users across the organisation;

• be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software systems; and the 

• management of network security and IT operations.

As a valued member of the team, you will have:

• experience working within service desk environments, ideally within the professional services sector; 

• demonstrated technical knowledge of Microsoft network fundamentals, PC and server hardware, desktop imaging and software deployment;

• hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience;

• excellent verbal and written communications skills;

• the ability to train and teach effectively;

• high attention to detail with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills;

• effective task, time management and prioritisation skills;

• enthusiasm, resilience, and drive to enjoy, and thrive, in the role; and

• the ability to work independently and as well as part of a team.
