Trade Qualified Carpenter - IMMEDIATE START!

About the role

Jaxley Constructions PTY LTD is seeking a Trade Qualified Carpenter to join our team on a casual basis (ABN) with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced carpenter to work on new build residential homes in North Brisbane and some occasional commercial projects in Caloundra.

Key responsibilities

• Execute carpentry work to professional standards, including framing, structural work, timber finishing, and custom installations

• Read and interpret architectural plans and specifications accurately to ensure work is completed to design requirements

• Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and timber products using both hand tools and power tools

• Install doors and windows with precision and attention to detail

• Maintain and prepare work areas to ensure safety, cleanliness and efficiency on-site

• Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with project standards and client expectations

• Communicate effectively with project supervisors, clients and other tradespeople to coordinate work schedules and resolve any on-site issues

• Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

Minimum requirements

• Current trade qualification in Carpentry

• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport

• White card

• Proven experience working as a qualified carpenter in residential and/or commercial construction environments

• Proficiency with both hand tools and power tools, including circular saws, nail guns, sanders and other standard carpentry equipment

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans and technical specifications

• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work with a strong work ethic

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a construction team
