Assistant Store Manager - Victoria

Established in 1915 and run by fourth generation Haigh’s family, Haigh’s Chocolates is the oldest family-owned chocolate maker in Australia. The company currently employs over 900 people across its retail and online stores, three factories, and head office, and will be expanding from 22 to 26 retail stores in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra by the end of 2026.

Haigh’s prides itself on being a chocolate ‘bean to bar’ specialist, committed to the art of premium chocolate making, roasting cocoa beans to create a unique blend of milk and dark chocolate. Haigh’s are the largest Australian importer of raw cocoa beans, ethically sourced from cocoa plantations around the world, using only the finest and freshest ingredients.

Through meticulous artisan skills that include handmade chocolate creation and finishing, combined with advanced manufacturing equipment and techniques, Haigh’s creates exquisite chocolates that look and taste delicious.

We are pleased to share an opportunity for an experienced and talented Assistant Store Manager to join our roaming Assistant Store Manager structure in Victoria.

Following the successful introduction of roaming Assistant Store Manager roles across our regions, this structure continues to provide an opportunity for our leaders to broaden their experience, build their leadership capability and develop within a supported environment.

These roles are not dedicated to a particular store and instead provide the opportunity to work across different locations within the region. This enables our Assistant Store Managers to gain exposure to a variety of teams, stores and leadership experiences, while also supporting the broader operational needs of the business.

Due to recent internal promotions, we are now looking for a talented Assistant Store Manager to join the roaming ASM structure in Victoria.

This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your experience, further develop your leadership skills and position yourself for future growth within Haigh’s.

What’s the Role?

• This positions which will be based at our Elizabeth Street Store, will have a strong rotational element and will be utilised across multiple stores within your relevant region, overseen by the Area Manager.
• Work alongside and learn from a variety of Store Managers and different leadership styles to support your own leadership journey.
• Provide cover for operational needs and leadership leave.
• Support stores during key trading periods, new initiatives, and transitions to new retail sites.
