About the role

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload across the NDIS, aged care and private sectors, supporting clients across the lifespan. Depending on your experience and interests, the role may include functional capacity assessments, home and living assessments, assistive technology assessments, minor and complex home modifications, capacity-building and functional therapy, activities of daily living and independence training, home safety and falls prevention assessments, equipment prescription and recommendations, community-based occupational therapy, rehabilitation and functional assessments, and other OT services aligned with your scope of practice and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Functional Capacity Assessments and reporting

• Home and living assessments

• Assistive technology assessments, prescription and trials

• Minor and complex home modifications

• Capacity-building and functional therapy

• Activities of daily living and independence training

• Home safety and falls prevention assessments

• Equipment prescription and recommendations

• Community-based occupational therapy

• Working collaboratively with families, support coordinators, carers and other health professionals

About you

• AHPRA registered and eligible to work in Australia

• Experienced in, or interested in developing within, private practice

• Comfortable working independently and managing a varied caseload

• Confident with clinical reasoning, assessment and report writing

• Person-centred, compassionate and practical in their approach

• Professional and reliable

• Comfortable working across different environments, including clients' homes and community settings

• Interested in working with clients of all ages and abilities

• Experienced in NDIS and/or aged care is highly desirable

Flourish OT by Sami is a private occupational therapy practice focused on providing holistic, personalised and evidence-based care. Our goal is to support people to build independence, improve safety and participate in the things that matter most to them. We believe occupational therapy is about working alongside people to unlock their potential and find practical solutions that make everyday life easier. We currently service Ipswich and Western Brisbane, with limited availability in Toowoomba, Gatton and Laidley, and are looking to expand our capacity across these areas.
